Meghan Markle, 37, has recently had a rocky relationship with her father Thomas Markle, 74.
The two are reported to have only spoken via text message since her marriage to Prince Harry in May.
The former lighting director and the Duchess of Sussex are believed to have a strained relationship following Thomas’ public interviews.
Before the wedding it was also revealed that he had been paid to stage photographs with paparazzi.
However, a source has revealed that Meghan is willing to move on and salvage their relationship.

Talking to The Mirror the source said Thomas Markle is “keeping two dates free at the end of the month”.
He is reportedly “delighted” his daughter has agreed to meet.
The source continued: “The possibility of a reunion has been discussed and Meghan looks set to incorporate it into her trip.
“The location and exact dates will be top secret for both their sakes.
“It is a very sensitive time for them, but the intent seems to be to heal the rift.”
Thomas lives in Mexico, with the source revealing that he has a view of travelling from his home to LA to meet with his daughter.
The source continued that Meghan’s half-siblings Samantha and Thomas junior will not be at the meeting.
Prince Harry is also believed not to be involved, with the reunion just for the Duchess and her estranged father.
The 74-year-old has come under scrutiny after reportedly selling photos to the paparazzi for £100,000 and going a paid for interview with Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.
Meghan is said to be returning to her homeland of the US for an “unofficial” trip later this month.
“[Meghan] is planning a personal, unofficial trip this summer to see family and friends,” reported US Weekly. “She’ll go to New York, then L.A.”
Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, 61, whom she is believed to be close to, lives in Los Angeles.
Meghan is believed to have visited her mother in Los Angeles earlier this year during the Easter weekend.
The then-fiancee of Prince Harry visited her mother’s LA home to discuss wedding plans, according to Good Morning America royal correspondent Omid Scobie.
While in the US Meghan will no doubt visit her countless friends in New York and LA, including Priyanka Chopra who attended the Royal Wedding.
