Black Ops 4 beta: When does Call of Duty test end on PS4? When is it coming to Xbox One?

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 fans don’t have long left to participate in the PS4 beta.

For those of you yet to jump in, the Black Ops 4 closed beta has a 6pm end time on August 6.

Unfortunately for Xbox One and PC users, the initial beta is a closed test on PS4 only.

Instead, Xbox One pre-order customers can take part in the second beta, which launches on August 10 at 6pm UK time. This particular beta will be available on both PS4 and Xbox One.

To get a beta code, just pre-order a copy of Call of Duty Black Ops 4 online or in store.

If you pre-order a physical copy of the game, you’ll have to redeem a code on the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 beta website. Most codes can be found on the printed receipt, or will be emailed over.

If you pre-ordered digitally – from PSN or Xbox Live, for example – then you’ll automatically be entered into the beta program.

The Black Ops 4 beta contains 16 weapons, as well as a handful of game modes.

This includes Call of Duty’s signature new game mode Control, which aims to “bring out the best of tactical Specialist gameplay”.

Chaos Team Deathmatch is a playlist incorporating Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed.

The Capture Moshpit playlist, meanwhile, features fast-paced modes such as Domination and Hardpoint.

There’s also Search and Destroy, which is a slower paced affair where strategy is key.

Fans can also expect a few twists, as Treyarch promises new maps and modes to be available at different times during the beta.

It’s unclear if the contents will be the same for the second beta on PS4 and Xbox One.

If it is the same, then fans can check out six maps from the game, including Frequency, Contraband, Seaside and Payload.
