Melania Trump: How old is Melania Trump? How does her age compare to Ivanka Trump?

Melania Trump, 48, is First Lady of the USA and the third wife of President Donald Trump, 72.

There is just a 12 year difference between her and her stepdaughter, Ivanka Trump, 36.

A former model, Melania’s age-defying looks and slim figure might cause some to think she is even younger than her age.

In pictures of Melania now compared to when she was younger, she seems not to have aged a bit.

She began modelling at the age of just five years old.

She later signed with a modelling agency in Milan, Italy, at the age of 18.

Melania met Donald Trump in 1998, when she was just 28. Donald was at the time separated from his second wife, Marla Marples.

The couple married in 2005. They have one son together, Barron Trump, 12.

Melania is stepmother to Donald’s four children with his two previous wives: Ivanka, Donald Trump Jr., 40, Eric Trump, 34, and Tiffany Trump, 24.

She also has a total of nine step-grandchildren.

Donald Trump Jr’s eldest child, Kai Madison Trump, 11, is almost the same age as Melania and Donald’s son Barron.

Where was Melania Trump born? Melania was born Melanija Knavs on April 26, 1970.

Although she is the current US First Lady, Melania is not an American by birth and comes from humble roots.

She was born in the small town of Novo Mesto, Slovenia, formerly part of Yugoslavia.

Her father Viktor worked for a local car dealership, while her mother Amalia was a pattern maker for a children’s clothing company.

Melania is the youngest of three with an older sister and older half-brother.

She modelled from an early age before moving to Ljubljana to study architecture and design at the university there.

Why did Melania come to the United States? Aged 18, Melania won the Jana Magazine ‘Look of the Year’ competition.

This set her up with an international modelling contract, enabling the young Melania to travel around Europe.

She later met New-York City based businessman Paolo Zampolli who suggested she move to the United States.
