Roger Federer picks tennis star he likes to party with and reveals FOUR-DAY hangover

Federer, 36, is happily married with four children, but after winning 20 Grand Slam titles, there are surely some parties to be had.

The Swiss star has not had much to celebrate since winning the Australian Open in January as he sat out of the clay season and suffered a shock defeat in the Wimbledon quarter-finals.

But the world No 2 is hoping more more success during the hard court season as he targets his first US Open win in a decade.

And if he was to clinch his 21st Grand Slam title in the States, then fellow Swiss ace Stan Wawrinka and coach Severin Luthi would be the first people invited.

“So if I’m partying, then you’re right. It’s always funny with Stan Wawrinka,” Federer told Swiss newspaper Coopzeitung.

“Or with Seve Luthi. When he is ready, he gives full throttle. Whether the other players are party animals, I can not judge.

“You meet more on the tennis court than on the dance floor.”

But has he ever rolled into work with a hangover following a big night?

“Not on the tennis court itself,” he added.

“But after the victory on the final Sunday of the US Open 2005 I had a problem.

“That was not so funny. I only felt fairly normal again on Thursday.”

And who does Federer bump into at these parties you are now wondering?

“Ten years ago, I met Donald Trump at a party in New York by Anna Wintour (editor-in-chief of Vogue),” he said.

“I met Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg at the Laureus Sport Awards, where I was elected World Sportsman in 2008.

“Suddenly Putin got up and made the rounds to toast everyone.

“Personally, I did not talk to him personally.”
