Real Madrid awarded with WWE Championship by Triple H after Champions League success

WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative Triple H tweeted a picture of the title and stated that it is time for the Spanish giants to celebrate like a WWE Champion.

The Game tweeted: “After 3 consecutive @ChampionsLeague wins, it’s time for @realmadrid to celebrate like a @WWE Champion! #HalaMadrid”

Real Madrid did the unthinkable last May when they became the first ever club to become European Champions three years in a row.

Zinedine Zidane led the team to victory in three different finals against Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Liverpool.

The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos became synonymous with that incredible achievement.

Real capped this amazing triumph this year with a 3-1 victory over the Reds thanks to a goal by Karim Benzema and a Gareth Bale brace.

WWE have worked with various football clubs and notable players in the past and the likes of Rusev, Sheamus as well as Cesaro are avid fans of the sport.

The wrestling giants also staged an unforgettable segment between British wrestler Bad News Barrett and Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney during a show in the UK three years ago.

Barrett taunted Rooney at ringside and the former Everton striker had enough and ultimately slapped the ex-Intercontinental Champion in the face.
