Mamma Mia 2: Is THIS what the plot of a THIRD movie would be?

The long-awaited ABBA sequel has hit cinemas and so far has made a whopping $167 million worldwide.

Arriving 10 years after the original and fans are already wondering if there’s going to be a Mamma Mia 3.

The only problem is what plot line could warrant another sequel now that Donna’s story is done?

Well if anything Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’s ending opened up a possibility.

Near the film’s end Cher turned up as Donna’s mother Ruby before being reunited with the hotel manager, her former lover, Andy Garcia’s Fernando.

Producer Judy Craymer has already joked a third film could be about the character.

Meanwhile Garcia told press, “We made the discovery during this press tour that Fernando is possibly the grandfather!

“And that’s why he’s there with Sophie.”

With this in mind the story could follow a young Ruby, telling the story of how she met Fernando and presumably became pregnant with Donna.

Of course this would be a very similar storyline to Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, but isn’t that just what the fans want?

And just what could a third and final movie in the trilogy be called?

Mamma Mia! Fernando doesn’t quite have the right ring to it and would move too much of the focus onto a supporting character.

Instead we have a suggestion of the only decent title for a Mamma Mia 3.

Surely Mamma Mia 3 should be called, Mamma Mia! Thank You For The Music.

It works on so many levels, and

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is out now.
