Man Utd news: Fred trains with team-mates for first time ahead of Liverpool clash – WATCH

The midfielder linked up with Manchester United on their pre-season tour of the USA earlier this week after his extended break following his involvement in the World Cup with Brazil.

And after a session with Manchester United’s head of strength and conditioning, Gary Walker, Fred took part in a full session alongside his Red Devils team-mates before they travelled to Ann Arbor for today’s pre-season friendly with Liverpool.

Fred was seen doing some agility exercises on mini trampolines before he was paired up with youth academy star Demetri Mitchell.

The duo were seen tussling with each other in a strength training exercise before it was time for some press-ups.

After a quick stretch, the players were then put through some suspension training using the TRX system.

Manchester United fans could get their first glimpse of Fred in a United shirt this evening when they take on Liverpool in the International Champions Cup.

United take on Jurgen Klopp’s side in Detroit playing at the Michigan Stadium, nicknamed “The Big House” which is home of the University of Michigan’s American Football side, the Wolverines.

A win for the Red Devils against Liverpool would be their second victory on the pre-season tour.

Jose Mourinho’s side have so far played out draws with MLS side San Jose Earthquakes and Liga MX outfit Club America, before beating AC Milan on penalties earlier this week.
