
The NYPD are dealing with three suspicious packages at three different locations around the skyscraper, CNN reports.
Images on social media show a bomb squad and emergency services at the scene.
A New York Police Department spokesman says an officer at Republican President Donald Trump’s high-rise home noticed the item at about 4:30 p.m. Friday.
NYPD officer and department spokesman George Tsourovakas said: “Our officers are still investigating.”
He described the items as “suspicious,” though a full account was not immediately available as police worked to determine whether they pose any threat.

The New York Post reported several bags containing cell phones and an unknown device were found on the building’s second floor.
Parts of Fifth Avenue are closed while the investigation takes place, as well as number of other roads in the area.
A heavy police presence has been seen at the building this evening.
President Trump is not in the building.
Trump Tower is a 58 storey skyscraper in midtown Manhattan.
It serves as the headquarters for the Trump Organisation.
It also houses Donald Trump’s political campaigns – his 2016 and 2020 campaigns are both led from the New York base.
