GTA 5 Nintendo Switch update: Proof that Grand Theft Auto is coming to Switch?

GTA 5 publisher Take Two has confirmed that more of the company’s games are coming to Nintendo Switch.

Take Two, which owns 2K Games and Rockstar, has so far published LA Noire and NBA 2K18 for Switch, with Carnival Games still to come.

But in an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Take Two CEO Straus Zelnick said that “what we’ve put out so far [on Switch] has been successful”.

Perhaps hinting at the likes of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, Zelnick would then promise more games to come.

In terms of wishlists, fans will be hoping for ports of XCOM, BioShock, GTA and Red Dead.

Carnival Games, meanwhile, has a November release date for Nintendo Switch.

The upcoming release is said to be built from the ground up, and will contain a mixture of old and new mini-games.

The news comes as Rockstar introduces the After Hours update for GTA 5.

The new update gives players the chance to run their own nightclub in Los Santos.

“Los Santos is a city of bright lights, long nights and dirty secrets, and they don’t come brighter, longer or dirtier than in GTA Online: After Hours,” reads a Rockstar post.

“Partner with legendary impresario Tony Prince to open and operate a top shelf Nightclub featuring world-class DJ acts Solomun, Tale of Us, Dixon and The Black Madonna, and use it as a front for the most concentrated network of criminal enterprise ever to hit San Andreas.”

As with all things GTA, nightclubs will serve as a front for even more criminal activity.

“Nightclubs are the perfect cover for any other operation you might have going, so get in on the ground level as a business partner to open up a brand new establishment, and help the DJ’s make their shows the best ever,” Rockstar continues.

“Run your nightclub business from setup, design, staffing and promotion; the more popular the club, the faster your secure wall safe will fill up.

“Management is honest work, a tidy way to keep income from your more seedy ventures with Disruption Logistics, The Open Road, SecuroServ and Free Trade Shipping Co. looking clean as fresh laundry.”
