Kevin Durant ‘did not text ONE person from OKC’ after announcing Warriors move

To this day, many believe the 29-year-old chose the easy way out after joining a dominant Western Conference franchise that had beaten his Thunder team in the playoffs only weeks earlier.

Durant and the Thunder had been 3-1 up in the Western Conference Finals but the Warriors roared back to win three-straight, advancing to the NBA Finals for an ill-fated showdown against LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, after seeing the Thunder’s championship aspirations heartbreakingly dismantled, Durant announced his decision to sign a two-year, $54.3 million contract with the Warriors, causing outrage around the league.

And, speaking on Undisputed with Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless yesterday, former Thunder team-mate Enes Kanter hinted he still had not forgiven the 2014 MVP for the manner of his departure.

“A lot of people don’t know because I’m so hard on [Kevin] Durant but I actually texted him after he made his decision,” Kanter revealed.

“I said ‘hey, good luck man’. In the end, it’s a business. You have to understand.

“After that, I learned that he did not even text one person [from OKC]. That really hurt us, me. We were like brothers.

“We lost a series after being 3-1 up, 4-3. My thing was like hey, come back again and try to do it next year.

“Everybody was shocked when he signed with Golden State, they just won 73 games. They don’t need no help.”
