Real Madrid deadline

Real Madrid have set a deadline to compete the signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Chelsea are open to selling Courtois for £35m this summer, knowing he could leave on a free transfer next year.

Real are desperate to land a new goalkeeper but are labouring to get a deal over the line.

And now Marca claim Los Blancos will end their pursuit of the Belgian unless a deal can be brokered this week.

Unfortunately for Real, that means Chelsea must also source a replacement shot-stopper before they agree to letting Courtois leave.

Everton medical

Watford winger Richarlison is having a medical at Everton.

The two clubs have agreed a £50m for the forward.

Richarlison, 21, only joined Watford last summer and scored five goals in his debut campaign.

Man Utd sale

Manchester United have agreed to sell Anthony Martial this summer.

However, the deal will be done on their terms.

Express Sport understands Martial has requested to leave the club and United are resigned to losing him.

They want £60m for the Frenchman and will only sell him to a foreign club.

Bayern Munich are therefore favourites to secure the ex-Monaco star’s signature.

Both Chelsea and Tottenham want to sign Martial but United will not sell to a direct rival.

Arsenal scouts bemused

Football scouts across Europe are said to have been left ‘bemused’ by three Gunners deals this summer.

Unai Emery has been afforded the freedom to sign a new-look defence in his first transfer window in north London.

Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Bernd Leno have arrived.

And the Mail claim scouts across the continent are surprised by the trio.

It is claimed there are question marks surrounding all three players.

Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi, who both signed this summer, are said to have earned the approval of scouts.

Barcelona want Willian

Barcelona want to sign Chelsea winger Willian.

However, any bid is unlikely to watch Chelsea’s expectations.

The Blues want £60m for Willian, with Manchester United also keen.

Barca are said to have balked at the demands, with Mundo Deportivo suggesting the Nou Camp giants’ interest in Willian is cooling.

They claim the player is not a priority target and the club will only go as high as £31.2m (€35m).

Liverpool to keep Karius

Liverpool are open to keeping Loris Karius at the club despite the signing of Alisson.

Karius has endured a miserable few months after blunders in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

His has endured a number of errors during pre-season as well, with Jurgen Klopp forced to spend £66.8m on new goalkeeper Alisson.

Karius is expected to be sold this summer but Express Sport understands the Reds boss could keep Karius as his No 2 shot-stopper instead.
