Witnesses described a “bloodbath” following the horrific attack which has left two people seriously injured.
Screaming passengers ran for their lives after a man, believed to be in his 30s, started knifing people at random.
A witness said: “One of the victims was just offering his seat to an elderly lady when the attacker stabbed him in his chest. It was a bloodbath!”
Local media reported the suspect dropped a backpack before beginning the attack, which witnesses said began “smouldering”.
Officers in a police car which happened to be close to the bus sprang into action after seeing what happened.
