Fortnite servers not responding: When are Fortnite servers back online?

Gamers are unable to log into this morning as Epic Games turn off the servers for a big incoming patch.

The servers were switched off this morning but remain offline more than two hours later.

Epic Games announced there would be some downtime this morning on Twitter, but fans have been left confused as to what new content will be coming into the game.

Fortnite is expected to be offline for the next couple of hours as the mystery patch comes online.

When are Fortnite servers back online?

Epic Games turned the Fortnite servers off at 9am BST this morning (4am ET).

Returning back to a normal schedule, Epic Games is now bringing in new weekly challenges and content updates on a Tuesday, instead of a Thursday like in Season 4.

However, fans were caught off-guard this morning as a maintenance patch rolls in at the same time as a content patch, which is unusual for Epic Games.

Fortnite servers are usually offline from anywhere between one and three hours, but fans fear the game could be offline for several more hours this morning.

Epic Games has not announced when they will be putting the game back online, leaving fans in the dark.

Just moments before the downtime, the week 2 challenges were listed to go live in six hours time (see the image below, which was taken at around 8.40am BST).

While Epic could be taking downtime into account, it’s possible the weekly challenges are being pushed back from 9am BST to 2-3pm BST.

Gamers could be left locked out of the game for a few hours yet, though there are no details on what could be brought in with the new patch.

For now, though, fans can take a look at what to expect from the Fortnite Week 2 challenges in Season 5.

The challenges were leaked online earlier this week.

Here is the full list of the Week 2 challenges:
