Alexis Sanchez: Man Utd make visa announcement after US Tour delay

The Chile international had been delayed after he failed to get a U.S. visa due to a 16-month suspended jail sentence imposed by a Spanish court in February for tax fraud.

And a Manchester United spokesperson confirmed Sanchez “did not travel due to a personal administrative issue”.

But earlier today, Sanchez hinted his problems had been resolved when he posted a picture on Instagram from United’s Carrington training ground.

The caption in the selfie said: “The last training in Manchester. Soon [American flag emoji].”

And a statement on United’s website said: “He is now due to fly across the Atlantic Ocean to Los Angeles in order to be reunited with the squad.”

It means Sanchez could face the San Jose Earthquakes at the Levi’s Stadium on Sunday.

United then face AC Milan, Liverpool and Real Madrid in their other tour matches
