Aquaman has released a brand new poster in anticipation of its trailer which features Jason Momoa as the eponymous underwater hero, aka Arthur Curry.
Momoa rose to fame for his role as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, Momoa was involved in the film industry long before he took up the role as the chieftain of the Dothraki.
However, as Aquaman fans can certainly expect plenty of shirtless shots of Jason Momoa as evidenced by the poster itself.
When is the Aquaman trailer out?
James Wan, director of Aquaman, stated on Twitter the first trailer would be released on Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con.
Wan’s tweet said: “Comic-Con will be insane!! This is the new glyph/logo.

“Freshly smuggled out of Atlantis! (stolen off King Orm’s belt buckle).”
The image detailed the new Aquaman logo with the words “trailer debut” above San Diego Comic Con.
Aquaman’s new poster illustrates a similar self-awareness of the silliness of superhero movies to Wan’s other blockbusters.
The underwater superhero flick is Warner Bros’ only live-action DC Comics offering at this year’s comic con.
Given the disappointing performance of Justice League, Aquaman has a lot riding on its (his) shoulders.
Needless to say, Aquaman needs to be a hit and it has a few contenders to go up against (like Mary Poppins Returns, also being released in December).
A few lucky fans were treated to the Aquaman trailer ahead of Comic Con, at CineEurope which took place in June 2018.
The Russian outlet took to Twitter to describe the Aquaman teaser, saying: “Full of not just traditional action and mind-bending VFX but good humour also.
“The unusually brighter visuals also caught the eye, rarely encountered with DC.”
Can you watch the trailer online?
As of yet, the trailer is still under wraps, but after its premiere at Comic Con you can be it will be online shortly.
Aquaman’s official synopsis says: “Following the events of Justice League, Arthur Curry, the reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, is caught in a battle between surface dwellers that threaten his oceans and his own people, who are ready to lash out and invade the surface.”
