Amazon Prime Day 2018 – Echo price slashed as it fights back against this Google Home deal

big Prime Day sale will get underway later today with the online retailer slashing prices across millions of products.

The deals start at 12pm today with the offers then continuing for another 36 hours.

One of the most interesting price cuts comes for anyone who’s been looking to invest in a smart speaker

Amazon has just revealed that its award-winning Echo will be reduced in price to just £59.99 – a £30 saving.

This is one of the lowest ever prices for this Alexa-enable gadget and certainly makes it an attractive option if you are looking to add voice control to your home.

This latest offer from Amazon comes as .

The more powerful Google Home usually costs £129 but Google is currently offering £25 off that price, reducing it to £104.

Its smaller sibling, the Google Home Mini, would normally set you back £49 but this has now been reduced by £15 taking the cost down to £34.

These deal run until July 17, the same day Amazon’s Prime Day sale ends, with the Google Store, Argos and Currys all offering the discount.
