Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho blasts Paul Pogba for Match of the Day incident

Mourinho was talking to the BBC after the 2-1 win over Liverpool when Pogba interrupted the interview to shake his hand.

And the Sun claim Mourinho ‘blasted Pogba’ for a show of disrespect.

Pogba is yet to start a match for Manchester United since after sitting on the bench for the defeat to Sevilla and win over Brighton.

Pogba was absent from the squad for the win over Liverpool after picking up a training ground injury but still chose to get in with Mourinho after the game.

The France star has been struggling for form since the turn of the year and Didier Deschamps admitted he couldn’t be happy at the club this week.

And his public move – possibly to show things were well at United – backfired.

Mourinho laughed it off at the time and took it in good spirits but it has now emerged he was furious behind closed doors.

And the 54-year-old Portuguese has made it clear that he is the boss and put Pogba in his place.

Mourinho berated Pogba during the Tottenham game at the end of January and subbed him shortly after.

Since then he has completed 90 minutes just twice – against Chelsea and Crystal Palace – and his future is being called into question.

And Pogba put his own future in doubt yesterday when admitting he would love to play with Neymar one day.

“He is truly the definition of joy on the pitch,” Pogba told TyC Sports.

“I know that in Brazil, football is everything. It’s life. Everyone plays football in Brazil.

“When I see him play on the pitch and enjoying himself, with his technique, his agility … I love to watch him play.”

“It’s a different style. He has his own style. When you say Neymar anywhere in the world, everyone knows who he is and what he does.

“For me, it would be a pleasure to play with him one day.”
