Fortnite is getting a brand new weapon, with the heavy shotgun coming to Battle Royale on PS4, Xbox One and Fortnite Mobile.
Fortnite fans logging in to Battle Royale today will see that the heavy shotgun is being teased by Epic Games.
The description for the heavy shotgun says it is a “new shotgun with increased range”.
It also teases that it is “coming soon”, but a release date has not been announced yet.
Epic Games usually rolls out a Fortnite patch on Thursdays, so the heavy shotgun could possibly launch tomorrow.
However, for the time being, no patch is currently scheduled to be released for Fortnite this week.
The last major Fortnite patch to release was Fortnite V3.3, released last Thursday, which brought with it llama loot and the new remote explosives.
Soon after the heavy shotgun was revealed, Fortnite fans took to reveal their thoughts on the new weapon.
One fan tweeted: “Oh hey. A new gun has been teased in #Fortnite. Heavy Shotgun coming soon. Says it will have increased range.”
While another wrote: “New Heavy Shotgun (with increased range) coming to Fortnite boys , Good bye Pump , Hello Heavy Shotty”.
And one posted: “How is fortnite going to add a heavy shotgun when the shotguns are already overpowered”.
