Fortnite update: Jet pack release date could bring THIS big change to Battle Royale

Fortnite Battle Royale’s new jet pack has been discussed by Twitch streamer Ninja.

Speaking to Forbes, Ninja said that jet fuel could replace building materials, and that players will likely have limited use in the early game.

“And that goes for the jetpack as well,” he said.

“It might take fuel, it might be able to pause in mid-air and shoot accurately, but in my eyes I don’t see it being broken, I see the jet fuel really just being a replacement for materials – in an early game you’re very limited, mobility wise, chasing people down on a roof because you don’t have that many mats.

“Let’s say you pick up a jetpack, you have X amount fuel, it will only take you maybe five floors, five materials before you have to find a place to refuel.

“They’re not stupid, they’re not going to introduce something that will break the game – I think that’s why they delayed it.”

Ninja also talks about C4 explosives and how their introduction will change the game.

“The C4 – whenever you get like a trap introduction as a player, I get a little nervous. I don’t know if it’s going to be for campers, or if it’s going to be good against them, like what if I could throw it into a room and blow it up, it would be more accurate than a frag grenade, if you will.

“That to me will add another element to the game that won’t take away from anything, just another way to play it.

“I also don’t know the range, how much damage what it does: I don’t really know exactly what to think of it if I don’t know that it is.”

The news comes as Epic Games releases new Fortnite Mobile invites.

Fortnite Mobile players have been given the opportunity to invite Friends on iOS.

Fortnite Mobile is described as the full Battle Royale experience with no compromises.

It features the same map, the same content, the same unlockables, gameplay and even the same weekly updates.

Anybody yet to receive a download code will be placed on the waiting list. Invitations will be sent out based on sign up order, device models and even the proximity to the data centre.
