Eugenie Bouchard, also known as Genie Bouchard on her Instagram handle, has 1.7 million followers on Instagram and is widely followed around the world.
The Canadian tennis star, who has modelled for Sports Illustrated, surprised her fans this weekend when she revealed a secret about her identity.
The gorgeous blonde model took St. Patrick’s Day – an Irish holiday – as an opportunity to tell the world that she is, in fact, a quarter Irish.
In the post, she is pictured in Ireland holding a partly drunk pint of Guinness, a traditional Irish beer, while seated at a wooden bar at a pub.
In the shot, the naturally beautiful model appears to be entirely makeup free, and her long blonde hair is worn loose and casually tucked behind her ears.

Despite being known for her Canadian heritage – and playing for Canada – Eugenie said in the post caption she is “proud” of this part of her identity.
The caption reads: “Pub in Ireland last year. Visiting family and the beautiful countryside.”
It continues: “1/4 Irish and proud. Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone,” with a traditional shamrock afterwards.”
Fans rushed to weigh in on the tennis star’s words, with one writing: Nothing beats a Guinness Stout on St. Patrick’s day ! Cheers Eugenie!”
Another fan agreed that Eugenie should be proud, writing: “So cool! Irish contributions to world culture are outstanding, particularly when one considers it’s small size! Be proud.”
However, not everyone supported Eugenie’s claims to her Irish heritage – one fan refused to accept Eugenie’s post.
They wrote: “1/4 Irish isn’t a thing, you’re either brought up in Ireland and are Irish or you’re not.”
Earlier this week, Eugenie posted a hot exercise snap while working out at a gym in Indian Wells, California.
She wore her hair up and sported pink Nike workout gear and very bright yellow neon trainers.
Genie held a pink kettle bell above her head, while she leaned to her left side and touched her ankle.
She commented underneath the image: “Yes this is a real exercise”, referring to her unusual position in the photo.
