Louisa Johnson new single: X Factor winner sends fans into MELTDOWN with Yes – LISTEN

The X Factor winner, who triumphed on the ITV talent show in 2015 under the mentorship of Rita Ora, released the new track overnight.

Yes features rapper 2 Chainz, and has already gone down a treat with those who have been waiting for new music since her last headlining single – Best Behaviour – over a year ago.

“YESSSSS @louisa @2chainz new single is an absolute banger, it’s lit,” wrote one person on Twitter this morning.

“I hope you’re all prepared to hear @louisa’s “Yes” playing in every gay bar around the world until the end of time,” quipped another.

“Waking up to sirens. This new @Louisa single is a beast. Totally Burlesque-era Aguilera (Express) but we are not worthy,” said someone else.

Another excited fan posted: “@louisa you’ve just made the next gay club anthem. We were not prepared.”

Louisa said in a recent interview with Popjustice: “I’d come back from a holiday and I was feeling creative and inspired, as you do when you come back from holiday, and I was getting back into the studio. I went for dinner with Camille [Purcell], who’s done loads of stuff for Little Mix but has also been a good friend since I was in X Factor.

“And we went, ‘oh, f**k it, let’s just get drunk.’ Which we did. And then we spoke about everything we wanted to put into a song! It just happened!

“I blurted out everything I wanted to say, the style of music, the beat, everything. Then she went into the studio and came up with this amazing song.”

On the comparisons to Aguilera, she added: “I’ve always loved Christina and I’ve always loved that song [Dirrty]. That song just makes you want to take your clothes off!”

Yes by Louisa Johnson is out now.
