PSG think Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho can replace Unai Emery after massive development

Manchester United boss Mourinho is under pressure to lift the doom and gloom mood that has engulfed the club after their Champions League exit to Sevilla on Tuesday.

The 54-year-old got his tactics wrong on a chastening night at Old Trafford and angered supporters by shrugging off the defeat after the match.

There are suggestions Manchester United board members fear for life under Mourinho due to the negative football he makes his team play.

And the Mirror have now added that Mourinho may be on his way to Paris at the end of the current campaign.

PSG are likely to part company with Emery.

The Spaniard was lucky to keep his job last summer after failing to win either the Ligue 1 title or Champions League.

They are set to become French champions once again but their inability to battle past Real Madrid in Europe means Emery’s head is set to roll.

And the Mirror say they believe Mourinho may be attainable.

In a huge development, the United manager will have showdown talks with the Red Devils board where he is expected to demand more funds for transfers.

But the club’s hierarchy supposedly feel that, having given him nearly £300million to spend already, he should be doing better.

Mourinho fluttered his eyelashes at PSG earlier in the season by saying: “The other day my son who lives in London went to Paris and not to Manchester to watch the match.

“Because at the moment in Paris there is something special.

“Magic, quality, youth, it’s fantastic.”
