Jack Wilshere does not care about Arsenal: He is why they fail – pundit lets loose

That is the shock opinion of ESPN FC pundit and former Major League Soccer star Alejandro Moreno.

Wilshere is out of contract at the end of the season and is stalling over a new deal.

Arsenal have offered the midfielder a new contract but on reduced terms with added incentives due to his poor injury record.

Wilshere has been a regular in the Arsenal side since Christmas and is a favourite with supporters.

But Moreno reckons the 26-year-old does not put in performances on the pitch at crucial times and says he should be first out of the door this summer.

“If we’re cleaning house, I start with him,” Moreno said.

“This sort of player is the epitome of why Arsenal struggle.

“Players that pretend to care and pretend to work extremely hard and pretend to be tough guys.

“But when it counts and you really need them, not so much.

“So this kind of guy has got to go.”

Wilshere was today recalled to the England squad for the friendlies against Holland and Italy.

Arsenal team-mate Danny Welbeck has also been rewarded with a call up.
