Juan Martin del Potro explains his biggest Indian Wells obstacle

The Argentine has never won a Masters tournament but he is hoping to continue the form which saw him win the Mexican Open last week.

Del Potro beat three top 10 players in Kevin Anderson, Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev to achieve glory at Acapulco.

However, the Indian Wells now has the addition of Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic which will make the task of obtaining silverware all the more difficult.

But Del Potro is full of confidence of taking on the world’s best.

“My confidence is very high,” Del Potro told ATP World Tour.

“Of course I’m so happy to have won another title and to have beaten three top 10 players along the way.

“I’m looking forward to playing even better in this magnificent tournament.

“I think I have everything to win a title like this but I know how good Roger (Federer), Rafa (Nadal) and (Novak) Djokovic are.

“Now I’m playing free of pain and for my mind it is so good, just to think about tennis.

“I’m so happy to stay healthy for a long time and to do what I like to do.

“Tennis life is my life and I really like to play.”
