Avengers Infinity War: Is THIS what Spider-Man Homecoming 2’s TITLE we be?

Last year Tom Holland had his very own solo movie in Spider-Man: Homecoming, having debuted as Peter Parker in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.

While he’s appearing in Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4, his second solo movie is due in 2019, straight after the events of the latter.

However the title of the movie is currently unknown, but following recent revelations for Avengers Infinity War, is it just possible we’ve worked it out?

The problem with Spider-Man movie titles is working out how to do a sequel to a character that’s already been rebooted twice.

We’ve already had Spider-Man 2 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and they’re hardly going to call it Spider-Man Homecoming 2, as its currently being referred to.

But with promo art and pictures from Avengers Infinity War, not only is Spider-Man wearing his new suit from Iron Man, but he has a new name, which could be the name of his next solo movie: Iron Spider.

Now considering Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark is expected to bow out after Avengers 4 (dead or alive), it makes sense for him to have a big enough character to replace him as the franchise’s lead.

Having mentored Parker since Spider-Man Homecoming, and the fact that the Web Slinger is a huge household superhero name, it would make sense for Holland to, in a sense, replace Downey Jr as Iron Man, by being Iron Spider.

Some fans are wondering if Black Panther’s Shuri, since she now lives in California, will take on that role.

Untitled Spider-Man Homecoming Sequel is set for release in July 2019.
