Real are set for a summer rebuild off the back of a torrid season which has left the Champions League as their only hope of securing a trophy.
And signing a new stopper to replace current No 1 Keylor Navas is high on their list of priorities for when the transfer window reopens.
Manchester United star David De Gea has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu and went close to completing that switch in 2015.
The latest reports from Spain suggest Ramos has got wind of Real turning their attention to Courtois in case that deal fails to materialise.
According to Diario Gol, Ramos is in the loop about Real’s prospective transfer business as the summer approaches.
And in reference to Courtois he’s said to have told Ronaldo and Marcelo: “Florentino Perez has signed him.”
Perez is not thought to have had Courtois put pen to paper as he is still prioritising getting De Gea on-board.
But he’s apparently so certain that the Chelsea ace will join Real if needed that he’s told senior players to find a house for the 25-year-old.
Former Atletico Madrid loanee Courtois has previously spoken of his eagerness to return to the Spanish capital, where his former partner and children are based.
And he might not be the only Belgian destined for the Bernabeu, with Real eyeing up Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard too.
