
Snapchat is down right now with the selfie app not working for hundreds of users today.
Independent outage monitor Down Detector has registered a surge of Snapchat down reports today from around the world.
The Snapchat issues are affecting users trying to send and receive snaps.
The official Snapchat Twitter account has acknowledged the issues.
They tweeted: “Some Snapchatters are having trouble with the app. We’re aware of the issue and working on a fix! We recommend staying logged into your account.”

Down Detector stats show, out of those affected, 38 per cent are having issues sending snaps.
While 38 per cent are having issues receiving snaps and 23 per cent are having problems with the app.
As the latest Snapchat outage hit, Snapchatters took to rival social network Twitter to voice their frustration at the downtime.
One user tweeted: “Ok but why is Snapchat not working again”.
Another posted: “Snapchat not working. Straight to Twitter to make sure it’s not just me.”
One wrote: “@Snapchat yo app better be down because y’all are reversing the update.”
And another added: “Snapchat being down is becoming a regular thing”.
The Snapchat outage comes in the aftermath of the fallout from the selfie app’s controversial redesign.
Last month Snapchat rolled out a big update which brought with it a major shake-up to Stories.
The Snapchat redesign dropped the dedicated Stories page and put the content amongst private messages in a single feed.
A large section of fans were left outraged, with more than a million Snapchatters signing a petition calling for the app to revert back to its old design.
