Roger Federer and Bill Gates ready to team up for epic tennis doubles match

Federer will return to court for the first time since his Rotterdam Open success last month for the Match For Africa 5: Silicon Valley charity event on Tuesday.

The Swiss star will play a three-set singles match against Sock before a one-set doubles match with Microsoft co-owner Bill Gates.

NBC Today Show co-host Savannah Guthrie will partner Sock as their opponents and the match is expected to get underway at 3.30am GMT.

The exhibition event takes place at the SAP Centre in San Jose and the money raised will go to children living in poverty in six different countries in southern Africa and Switzerland.

The Roger Federer Foundation has linked up with the event which has previously seen Rafael Nadal, Stan Wawrinka, Andy Murray and John Isner all take part.
