Pregnant Kate Middleton takes on MORE work as her due date looms: Duchess has this new job

Kate Middleton fulfils her role as Duchess of Cambridge everyday, and often carries out public engagements to meet members of the public.

The 36-year-old mother-of-two to Prince George, four, and Prince Charlotte, two, is due to April.

However, the expectant mother is far from slowing down her commitment to work in the run up to her birth.

The Duchess has taken on two more jobs today, as Kensington Palace announced on its Twitter account.

Kate Middleton appeared at the launch of Nursing Now to make a speech.

She told the health professionals: “I would like to congratulate and thanks all nurses everywhere on what you achieve on a daily basis. The difference you make should not go unrecognised.”

Kate also appeared at the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology earlier in the morning, where she discussed the stigma around women’s health, in particular maternal mental health.

Kate will take on the role of patron of these two charities as of today.

Kensington Palace said: “It has been announced that The Duchess of Cambridge will become Patron of the @RCObsGyn and the @NursingNow2020 campaign ahead of her engagements today, where she will learn about and support global health work.”

Kate will now be the patron of sixteen charities. In this tole she will raise awareness for the charity’s causes.

Kate Middleton’s baby bump was visible in blue today as she stepped out just a month before her due date.

The coat was cropped above the knee, showing off the Duchess’ bare legs – a brave choice in London’s sub zero temperatures today.

Kate Middleton’s baby is set to arrive in April, but what will she and Prince William choose to name the child?

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Royal punters are convinced Kate will soon be giving birth to a little girl, and we’ve been forced to make it the favourite gender following overwhelming support.”

She added: “Mary remains the name on everyone’s lips, however it’s an outside chance that the Duke and Duchess have been keeping it quiet that they’re actually expecting two bundles of joy.”

Two boys’ names, Albert and Arthur, are also in the top five – and both hold odds of 12 to 1.
