Avengers Infinity War runtime REVEALED: Is it the LONGEST Marvel movie ever?

Avengers 3 has an awful lot of ground to cover as it wraps up every single Marvel Cinematic Universe plotline so far.

The longest Marvel movie until now has been the epic Captain America: Civil War. This mega movie mash up incorporated the core Avengers as well as new additions like Black Panther, Spider-Man and Ant-Man.

It clocked in at an impressive 147 minutes.

Infinity War will also include the Guardians of the Galaxy and numerous new favourites from the Black Panther movie and more, so it is no suprise that a leak from an international cinema chain has revealed a runtime that exceeds everyting that has come before.

Fan site ComicBook.com shered the news that an eagle-eyed Reddit user spotted an announcement from the Phillippines, where the movie will open two days earlier than in the UK. Poor US fans will have to wait until May 4 for their dose of Marvel magic.

According to the image from the advance tickets notification page on the SM Cinemas website, it states the Infinity War runtime is a galaxy-crushing 150 minutes.

Doubtless some fans might have hoped for even longer, but Marvel has always kept its releases lean.

Some comments already speculate that the number is too round and neat, but Iron Man 2 clocked in at 125 minutes and its sequel at 130 minutes.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige explained just how much ground needs to be covered in Avenges 3 and 54,

He said: “With Infinity War, we’re paying off every little thread and every little tease that we’ve had in what will be 18 films prior to Infinity War.

“There’s never been anything like this. Being able to, film after film, tease at a larger story. Really building these stories up into a giant conclusion. While at the same time introducing an entirely new direction for the future.”

Put like that, even 150 minutes doesn’t sound like enough…
