Those hoping to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy S9 on launch day could potentially save more than £250 on their new handset.
The Galaxy S9 will be unveiled during the Galaxy Unpacked keynote on Sunday February 25th in Barcelona.
The all-new handset is widely-tipped to ship with the Qualcomm SnapDragon 845, a rear camera with adjustable aperture for better low light shots, as well as improved slow-motion video capture.
Ahead of the launch, a leakster has divulged details on one of the promotions Samsung is purportedly set to run in an effort to entice customers to upgrade.
The tipster, known as Wan997 on social news website Reddit, claims to work for a mobile carrier and have had hands on time with the new handset.

Wan997 has reiterated a number of long-rumoured details about the Galaxy S9, including the dual camera system on the larger Galaxy S9+ handset.
However, the user has also revealed details about a forthcoming deal for Galaxy S9 customers.
According to the Redditor, Samsung is preparing a launch deal that supposedly slashes up to $350, some £250 converted, from the price of a new Galaxy S9 or S9+ with a trade-in.
Samsung has previously offered a similar deal in the UK.
Last year, the South Korean company launched a promotion which slashed over £200 off the Galaxy S8 when customers traded-in an old iPhone.
Provided the secondhand handset was in good condition, Samsung promised to reduce the price of its new Galaxy S8 by the residual value of the old smartphone.
At the time, Samsung offered £120 for an iPhone 6 in good condition, as well as bundling a £100 trade-up bonus when customers chose to upgrade to the Galaxy S8.
Given its previous promotions, the rumoured deal shared by Wan997 certainly seems possible.
Writing on Reddit about the unannounced launch deal, the user shared: “No information on pricing yet.
“From what I was told though, Samsung will be pushing a trade in offer where you get $350 off of the S9/S9+.”
When one user asked whether $350 was the maximum value awarded for a trade-in – or the amount every customer could expect, Wan997 added: “Not certain but from the context, it was $350 for all trade-in devices. Again, not 100% on this.”
Samsung will hold its Galaxy Unpacked event on Sunday.
Express.co.uk will be in the crowd, and expects to hear all the latest information on price during the keynote.
