Mount Sinabung eruption update: Huge chunk of Indonesia volcano ANNIHILATED by eruption

Communities surrounding the 2,460m volcano were forced to evacuate on Monday morning amid fears over citizens’ safety.

Sinabung is currently one of three erupting volcanoes in Indonesia.

The volcano, one of three currently erupting in Indonesia, was dormant for four centuries before exploding in 2010, killing two people.

Another eruption in 2014 killed 16 people, while seven died in a 2016 eruption.

Mount Sinabung has erupted intermittently since late 2013, displacing thousands of people.

The volcano alert level has been kept at its highest since June 2015.
