Roger Federer breezed past Ruben Bemelmans in the first round yesterday, winning in just 47 minutes against the Belgian.
The Swiss star is now just two wins away from reclaiming his spot as world No 1 from Rafael Nadal in the ATP rankings.
Federer has a perfect 12-0 head-to-head record against German Kohlschreiber and the 36-year-old is feeling confident going into the match.
“I know him very well. I was just told I’ve played him 12 times, won 12 times, that’s a great thing for me,” he said.
“Also it is easier for me to play someone like Phillip than somebody like Bemelmans, who I have never even practised with before.
