Rashford staying

07:30: Marcus Rashford still has a lot to give Manchester United even if his place is now under threat by Alexis Sanchez.

That is according to pundit Danny Higginbotham.

“I don’t think he leaves the football club, he’s still had a lot of football this season,” the former player said.

“I would be amazed if he left the football club.

“He’s at a great club to progress from the players that are around him.

“I don’t think there’s a necessity or a need for it. He’ll get a large amount of games so I can’t really see it.

“He came on to the scene and because he was so good everybody expected, like we do in England, to be that finished article.

“There was a big expectancy on him and now he’s having a little bit of a lull in his early development but I don’t see him moving anywhere from Manchester United.”

Liverpool dealt Butland blow

06.50: Liverpool target Jack Butland has shut down reports suggesting he has handed in a transfer request at Stoke.

Reports over the weekend suggested the 24-year-old had told the Potters he wants to leave.

However, Butland has taken to Twitter to vehemently deny those rumours and insists he is fully focussed on keeping Stoke in the Premier League.

“Before this spreads any further, I haven’t told the club I want to leave, I’m focused on doing everything I can to keep the club in this division!” Butland posted.

Hazard transfer details

06.15: Jamie Redknapp thinks that Chelsea star Eden Hazard will leave at the end of the season.

The Belgian is a top target for Real Madrid who are looking to shake up their team in the summer.

“I think he has been amazing for English football but I do fear that he leaves in the summer,” Redknapp told Sky Sports’ The Debate.

“I have got a feeling that Real Madrid will come in.

“You have got a player that produces special moments every time he gets on the field, he is at that level.”

Di Maria claim

05.45: Angel Di Maria has claimed to have severed all ties with Real Madrid.

However, the winger has issued a ‘come-and-get-me’ plea to Barcelona.

“Frankly, I would not have any problem to play at Barca, on the contrary,” Di Maria said.

“My relationship with Real has ended, because my cycle there has ended a long time ago.

“The only club I could not sign up for is Newell’s Old Boys because I’m a fan of Rosario Central.”
