Fortnite UPDATE – Valentine’s Day event arriving TOMORROW with patch V.2.5.0 release

players will get to take part in the Valentine’s Day event, which is part of patch V.2.5.0, which is being released tomorrow.

Fortnite patch V.2.5.0 was originally scheduled to become available to download on PS4, Xbox One and PCs today.

However, the release of the update on PS4, Xbox One and PCs was delayed by Epic Games.

The North Carolina based developer have now confirmed to Express.co.uk that the big update will be launching on Thursday.

It’s unclear at the moment if there will be any server downtime before the Fortnite update gets rolled out.

The Fortnite Valentine’s Day event will bring with it themed skins, the Cupid’s crossbow weapon and a Save The World quest entitled A Love Story.

Epic Games told us that Fortnite patch V.2.5.0 will be releasing tomorrow morning.

Patch notes usually get released a day before an update lands, so fans can expect that information to be revealed soon.

Here is everything that’s meant to come with the Fortnite update

• Valentine’s Event
• Special Valentine’s questline – A Love Story, told the Fortnite way
• Valentine’s-themed Heroes
• Cupid Crossbow
• New reactive quest type
• Opt-In Difficulty increase for greater challenge and rewards

The seasonal gold reset is also scheduled to happen with patch V.2.5.0.

The Fortnite team lifted the lid on the Valentine’s Event last week, detailing what was in store for fans.

In a blog post they said: “Valentine’s day is coming and Fortnite is getting in the spirit. Feeling lovey-dovey?

“Then grab yourself Valentine’s Day themed skins in Battle Royale. Gunpowder, not your thing? The new Crossbow allows you to hunt your prey the old-fashioned way.

“Eliminate your targets with stealth and finesse with this new addition. Need more love? For our Save the World fans, our new Valentines themed quest starts.”
