Nintendo Switch is getting a surprise new game release later this year.
One of the most unlikely ports yet, Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire has been announced for Nintendo Switch.
Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire – which has an April 3 release date on PC – is also coming to PS4 and Xbox One.
“Paradox Arctic did an incredible job when they brought Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One,” Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart told Eurogamer.
“Frankly, they created a better console game than we thought possible, and proved to everyone that Pillars of Eternity not only makes a great PC game, but a great console game as well.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

And speaking of surprising ports, new rumours have surfaced about GTA 5 possibly coming to the console.
Speaking at the Take-Two’s quarterly financial conference call, President Karl Slatoff said that the company was impressed by Switch console sales.
No further projects were announced for the console, although it was noted that the GTA 5 publisher would continue to monitor the situation surrounding the Switch.
With games like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption first appearing on PS3 and Xbox 360, it seems possible that the games could be ported to Switch.
Rockstar has already ported LA Noire to Switch, so anything is possible.
And Nintendo Switch eShop games are about to get a lot cheaper.
A new My Nintendo update will let Nintendo Switch owners use their gold reward points against eShop purchases.
Launching for My Nintendo members in March, the scheme rewards customers with gold points for every eShop purchase.
You’ll receive Gold Points worth 5% of the purchase price on new eShop titles, or 1% for physical purchases.
One Gold Point holds a cash value of £0.01, so a £40 eShop purchase will net you 200 points.
You could use those 200 points to make a £2 saving on future purchases, or accumulate points and make even bigger savings.
The only downside is that Gold Points are only valid for 12 months.
