The Air France declared an emergency soon after leaving Paris Orly airport for JFK.
Flight AF32 began returning to Paris soon after leaving French airspace and passing over the island of Jersey.
Flight tracker Air Live tweeted: “Air France #AF32 to JFK is declaring an emergency and returning to Paris ORY.”
They later added: “We have confirmation Air France #AF32 is returning to Paris ORY due to technical issue.”
