NBA trade deadline: Cavs completely transform roster with FOUR trades

Heading into the trade deadline, it was reported the Cavaliers were likely to seek a trade for DeAndre Jordan.

But in a shock turn of events they have since got rid of six players and acquiring four in a blockbuster couple of hours.

Isaiah Thomas was the first shock of the day as he was included, alongside Channing Frye and Cleveland’s protected first round pick, to the Los Angeles Lakers for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr.

And that was swiftly followed by a three-team trade between the Cavaliers, Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings.

Rodney Hood and George Hill both join Cleveland while Iman Shumpert and Miami Heat’s 2020 second-round pick to the Kings.

The deal means Joe Johnson will leave Utah to join Sacramento.

And that allows Jae Crowder and Derrick Rose to move to the Jazz.

That wasn’t the final deal of the night, and probably most surprising of all, was Dwayne Wade being traded back to the Miami Heat.

The Cavaliers reportedly get a heavily protected second-round pick in the Wade deal.
