Pokemon Go news: Niantic release new Raids following major map warning

New Pokemon Go Raids are coming, giving players another chance of catching Mewtwo.

Niantic regularly release new waves of EX Raid passes to Trainers, who have been spending more and more time on working out how to activate them.

The new Raids against Mewtwo are scheduled to kick off on February 8, 2018, and only includes those Trainers who have met certain requirements.

Fans are hard at work trying to crack a way of getting an invite for each wave, although it seems the exact formula has not been found yet.

Everyone has already been selected for the latest EX Raid, so if you haven’t received a pass, it means you won’t get a chance.

EX Raids are supposed to be the ultimate reward for being a dedicated Pokemon Go Trainer.

You get access to a Pokemon that isn’t available anywhere else, providing a great prize.

But something that’s badly affecting the whole system is the ongoing spoofing culture.

Trainers are reporting heading to EX Raids and finding just a small group of players standing there.

The rest of them have spoofed their location and are doing everything remotely.

And while that may guarantee more people arriving on time, it probably cheapens the outcome a little for those who actually bothered to show up in person.

Niantic haven’t discussed what they hope to add to the EX Raid system, which is still seen as a problematic feature for fans.

Other big Pokemon news revealed this week includes a big warning that the game could be unplayable for some users in North America.

According to a new report on GameRant, the US Air Force is performing its yearly Red Flag combat training until February 16.

As part of the training, the US Air Force will reportedly disable GPS, which could impact Pokemon Go players.

The site warns that users in the likes of Arizona, California, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming could be affected by the tests.

Players would still be able to access their Pokemon collections and level their Pocket Monsters.

It’s unlikely any outages will last too long, and the game should be fully functional before the start of the next Community Day event.

Niantic has confirmed that the next Community Day will take place on February 24 from 10am UK time until 1pm GMT.

The three hour event will focus on Dratini, although its unclear what its exclusive move will be.

Players will earn three times the amount of Stardust for the duration of the event, while Lures will last for all 3 hours.

If the first Community event is anything to go by, Dratini could get a Shiny variant.

It’s also useful if you want to evolve your Dratini into Dragonair and the powerful Dragonite.
