Huddersfield 0 – Liverpool 3: Can, Firmino and Salah plunder West Yorkshire

Liverpool had lost their last two games heading into this clash in West Yorkshire, which also saw them crash out of the FA Cup.

But the Reds bounced back from defeats to Swansea and West Brom with as simple a win as they will get all season.

Huddersfield rarely threatened and went behind when Emre Can lashed home from the edge of the box.

It could prove to be Can’s last Liverpool goal if Juventus come in with a bid on deadline day.

Roberto Firmino doubled Liverpool’s lead moments before the break when bursting through the Town line and catching Jonas Lossl off guard at his near post.

And Mohamed Salah converted a penalty with 12 minutes remaining to seal all three points for the visitors.
