It’s now less than four months until the Han Solo movie is released in cinemas and still there has been no trailer or pictures.
One of the most popular theories is that Solo: A Star Wars Story’s first teaser will drop as a TV spot during the Super Bowl on Sunday February 4.
After all, it’s reported that Disney have two slots booked for that evening during the ad breaks.
Nevertheless Screen Rant have a theory that the trailer won’t drop then, but on a slightly later date.
Could the Solo trailer actually be dropping in time for the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea?
After all, Lucasfilm previously released the second Rogue One trailer alongside the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Based on Disney’s previous patterns, Screen Rant predict the first Han Solo teaser will be released on Thursday February 15 – a few days after the Opening Ceremony.
However it could hit the internet around February 12 or 13, to tie in with earliest release of Black Panther, another Disney property, which will also have the Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer tied to it.
As to why the Han Solo movie trailer has been held back, fans have been speculating that Lucasfilm are concerned there will be backlash over the film being bad.
This follows recent insider claims that Disney are “writing off” off the movie as a success.
Solo: A Star Wars Story will be released in UK cinemas on May 25, 2018.
