Sturridge is unlikely to feature for Liverpool when they travel to Huddersfield tomorrow with the England international linked with a loan move to West Brom.
Sturridge has also been attracting interest from Newcastle but appears set to join the Baggies, with a medical reportedly set to take place today.
Meanwhile, Adam Lallana is struggling with a muscle tear while Ragnar Klavan is carrying a knock and both Nathaniel Clyne (back) and Adam Bogdan (ACL) are sidelined.
However, Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson could start after making his comeback from a hamstring injury against West Brom in the FA Cup defeat at the weekend.
