The Liverpool academy goalkeeper is yet to make his first-team debut for the club and has been sent out to gain experience.

Firth is a regular member of the Reds’ under-23 squad.

Can exit

08:30: Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Emre Can is running down his contract.

Can is out of contract in the summer and has not reached an agreement over a renewal.

“He’ll stay beyond the winter,” Klopp told DAZN.

“Emre is still a young lad but he has developed into a great player and is very important for us.

“Sometimes a player just wants to sit out his contract. That’s not cool for the club, but there are moments in which you have to accept it.

“And as long as the player behaves like Emre does, then I have absolutely nothing to complain about. He gives everything he has and identifies with the club.”

Lallana injury

08:00: Adam Lallana has been ruled out of Liverpool’s game with Huddersfield Town and could also miss the clash against Tottenham.

Jurgen Klopp revealed: “He’s not ready for Huddersfield.

“Medical department told me no chance for West Brom, no chance for Huddersfield and a chance for Tottenham.

“After Tottenham for sure, but before Tottenham I don’t know exactly.”
