Arsenal target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang revealed Dortmund FURY in text to German reporter

That’s according to German outlet Bild, who say their reporter Jorg Weiler received a text message from the Gabon international detailing his unhappiness.

Aubameyang has forged a reputation as one of the deadliest strikers in European football over the past few years, attracting plenty of admirers.

But he’s also seen as a troublesome character and has been on the receiving end of several in-house suspensions at Signal Iduna Park.

Aubameyang faced flak last November when he invited a film crew to Dortmund’s training ground without the club’s permission, for which he was disciplined.

Weiler has now lifted the lid on how Aubameyang responded to that action as Arsenal look set to take a punt on the 28-year-old.

The Bild reporter revealed the Dortmund star personally text him saying: “This punishment is unfair.”

Aubameyang is thought to have enjoyed a positive relationship with Weiler and other journalists.

However, Weiler’s comments on the former AC Milan’s prospective move suggests the pair may have fallen out.

“This is no longer the ‘old’ Auba,” he wrote.

“You’d think someone was driving him away and gaining total control over him. His father, with whom he shares the house in Dortmund?

“His family, who lives very well from him?

“I wonder: If the transfer to Arsenal London bursts and he stays in Dortmund – can it be the same again?

“Will Auba be the old man again? A bit crazy, but a nice guy?”

Aubameyang was in action for Dortmund in yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Freiburg but failed to impress.

Manager Peter Stoger declined to comment on the hitman’s future when asked about him post-match.

“He has had better days,” he said.

“But we did not manage to get into the game and I cannot say anything about his future.”

Arsenal have until 11pm on Wednesday to conclude a deal for Aubameyang with club chiefs already in Germany for talks.
