Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal: Dortmund ace to move on deadline day – Stuart Holden

That’s the verdict of former Premier League star and Fox Soccer pundit Stuart Holden, who revealed his take on Twitter.

Aubameyang has emerged as the ace Arsenal want following Alexis Sanchez’s move to top flight rivals Manchester United.

And Emirates chiefs Ivan Gazidis and Sven Mislintat have both been spotted in Germany with talks over a deal ongoing.

Holden has now sounded off about the potential switch, suggesting Arsenal will get their man just before the transfer window shuts next Wednesday night.

“Still think this deal gets done and Aubameyang ends up at the Emirates on deadline day… just for the drama,” wrote the former Bolton midfielder on Twitter.

Holden’s tweet came in response to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol sharing Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc’s approach to the prospective agreement.

Zorc said: “Either our demands are met, then there may be still a transfer.

“But, if they are not fulfilled then Auba plays until the summer in Dortmund.

“So it is discussed by the way also with the family Aubameyang and accepted.

“Arsenal has started several attempts that we have declined, so I can not say how it will end at the moment.”

Aubameyang will be eligible to play for Arsenal in the Europa League if they sign him.

The Gunners resume their campaign in UEFA’s second-tier club competition against Swedish minnows Ostersund next month.
