Star Wars Han Solo movie trailer STILL not out – when will it be released?

The first trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story is due imminently – because the film itself is in cinemas in just a few months’ time.

With that May 25 date getting closer and closer, when can we expect a first look?

Unfortunately, as another heavily rumoured date comes and goes, the wait continues.

It had been suggested that Wednesday (yesterday) would be when the trailer would land, ahead of it being packaged alongside the new Maze Runner movie in cinemas.

Whether or not it will appear with Maze Runner remains to be seen, but the signs don’t look good: it failed to emerge as expected yesterday.

Director Ron Howard had indicated some weeks ago that the teaser was imminent, with the assumption being that LucasFilm were waiting for the hype to die down on Star Wars: The Last Jedi first.

“Hang in there… Now that ep 8 is out there it won’t be long,” he wrote on January 8.

Another theory doing the rounds is that it will debut on the night of the Super Bowl on February 4.

This would definitely guarantee it a huge live TV audience in the US – as it is often the most-watched broadcast of the year by some distance.

Whatever the case, and whenever it lands, fans are seemingly growing more and more impatient – will it be worth the wait?

Solo: A Star Wars Story is out on May 25.
