Is Princess Beatrice meeting Donald Trump in Davos? Royal seen in crowd at WEF

Princess Beatrice of York, 27, was seen in the crowd on day three of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland tonight.

The granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II was sat in the audience of a panel session during the summit.

World leaders, influential executives, bankers and policy makers are attending the 48th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum this year.

This includes Donald Trump, who is breaking with tradition to attend.

American presidents do not usually attend Davos – but this year President Trump has decided to jet in to make the final keynote speech on Friday where he is expected to deliver his “America First” message.

He is the first US president to attend Davos since Bill Clinton in 2000, giving him a chance to mingle with the same elite “globalists” he bashed in the 2016 election campaign.

But, will the President meet with a representative from the British Royal Family?

It is not clear in what role Beatrice is attending the WEF.

Her vocation is not known, although her website states: “Princess Beatrice works full time in business.”

Donald Trump has previously met members of the Royal Family.

He met Princess Diana a number of times, and was seated at a table with the Princess of Wales at a 1995 dinner in Manhattan honouring Diana with the United Cerebral Palsy Humanitarian of the Year Award.

He wrote in his 1997 book The Art of the Comeback, Trump wrote: “I only have one regret in the women department—that I never had the opportunity to court Lady Diana Spencer.”

Donald Trump was set to meet the Queen during his official visit to the UK, which he has now cancelled.

It was said Trump would visit the UK in 2018 but he would not be given a full state visit and would not stay at Buckingham Palace.

However, he due to be given an audience with the Queen.
