Games with Gold February 2018 UPDATE: Free Xbox One games news for Microsoft reveal

The Xbox One’s Games With Gold monthly lineup is always a big update for fans, including new titles to download and betas to join.

Microsoft have not confirmed what will be coming in February, however, it’s pretty likely that will find out very soon.

The tech giant like to provide their Games with Gold announcements before the end of the month.

January 2018’s Xbox Live announcement was made on December 22, and there’s nothing to suggest we won’t see something similar happen this month.

It’s not 100% guaranteed as Microsoft have chosen to change their dates from month-to-month, however, something this coming week wouldn’t be a big surprise.

As usual, Xbox One fans have started making their predictions for what might be included in the upcoming Games with Gold lineup.

However, without any kind of leaked information, it’s almost impossible to tell what could be made available next month.

Sometimes new releases are made part of the Games with Gold lineup, however, nothing appears to fit the bill for the Xbox One in February 2018.

It would be great to see something like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter make the lineup, providing something for both Xbox and Xbox One X owners to try out.

However, having only recently launched on the Microsoft console, it’s more likely we’ll see something a little older announced.

Whatever happens, it seems likely that fans will find out in the coming days, with Microsoft usually providing plenty of time for those who have not downloaded their selection for the current month.

Xbox Live Gold subscribers can download The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III and Zombi, both of which will be available until January 31.

Zombi will actually be part of the February lineup until the mid-month refresh, when it will be replaced by whatever has been selected by Microsoft.

For those who don’t know, Games with Gold offers free Xbox games to qualifying Xbox Live Gold members.

The program provides Gold members with free games every month, worth up to $700 per year, according to Microsoft.

It should also be noted that all titles are playable on Xbox One, even those selected for the Xbox 360.

This is due to the Backwards Compatibility program, which continues to see new titles added in 2018.

Games with Gold is available to all Xbox Live Gold members, which can be redeemed from the Gold widget on the Xbox One home screen.

Titles can also be found if you download the Xbox One SmartGlass app, and go to the Microsoft Store and then page right.

When you select a game, it’ll be stored in your account and ready for download when you sign in to your console.

It should also be noted that new Games with Gold titles become available on the first and the sixteenth day of every month.

The current Games with Gold January 2018 lineup includes:

  • The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III: Available January 1 to 31 on Xbox One
  • Zombi: Available January 16 to February 15 on Xbox One
  • Army of Two: Available January 16 to 31 on Xbox One and Xbox 360
