That is according to ESPN FC pundit and former MLS star Alejandro Moreno.
Alisson stirred rumours last week by telling Football Italia “maybe we will speak about it again in June” when talking about his future at the Serie A club.
The Roma stopper is now reportedly one of a number of goalkeepers linked with a move to Liverpool.
Moreno does not think doubts over the Brazil international’s future means he will end up at Anfield.
But he thinks it would be a good signing from Jurgen Klopp if it does happen.
“Look, Liverpool need a goalkeeper,” Moreno said.
“Alisson is available and there is this talk that he might be going somewhere.
“Well I think we are putting two and two together here, even though it doesn’t quite add up to four.
“It’s simply because Alisson may be going somewhere but it may not be Liverpool and it may not be in this transfer window either.
“Just because Liverpool need a goalkeeper, it doesn’t mean it’s going to be Alisson.
“However, because this is the choice that I’m given and Liverpool is desperate, it may just be that it happens.”
Alisson joined Roma from Internacional in 2016 and has been a regular this season since the departure of Wojciech Szczesny last summer.
