iPhone SE 2 will purportedly ship with a number of features in common with the iPhone 8 and iPhone X.
The follow-up to the budget iPhone SE, which was launched in March 2016, is purportedly planned for later this year.
The four-inch iPhone is rumoured to launch alongside the successor to the iPhone X in September 2018.
According to speculative reports, the second-generation iPhone SE will be available in 32GB and 128GB capacities.
Whispers online point to the all-new iPhone SE boasting the same internals as the iPhone 7, that is to say, an Apple A10 Fusion processor with an M10 motion coprocessor.

According to technology blog Tekz24, the iPhone SE will also borrow a feature from last year’s iPhone 8 and iPhone X.
The blog claims Apple is looking into fitting the second-generation iPhone SE with a glass back.
“We got a tip from a very reliable source that the iPhone SE 2 will have a glass back panel just like the iPhone 8 series and iPhone X,” Tekz24 reports.
“The source also told us that the upgraded iPhone SE might support wireless charging and hence the implementation of glass back makes a lot of sense.”
Recent leaked images of the so-called iPhone SE 2 appeared on Chinese social media site, Weibo.
The images appear to show an iPhone with the same four-inch design as the iPhone SE, however, it is running the latest version of iOS.
iPhone SE 2 is expected to have 1700mAh battery, which is a much larger capacity than its predecessor.
Apple is tipped to fit the handset with a 12 megapixel rear-facing camera and five-megapixel front cameras.
